Oasis vs Blur

so a couple of weeks ago i saw Oasis (end of june) and then Blur (mid july)

and i finally remembered that when i was about 14 y-o, even though i had albums by those two bands, i was more of a Blur fan.

and i know why: the magic of every songs in Blur set at Oxegen (a few videos to come), the happiness they convey to their audience (Albarn's smile is contagious) and the energy and craziness of a rock n roll band (Coxon lying on the ground and playing, Albarn jumping into the crowd several times).

compare with Oasis: loads of anthems and sing alongs allright, no happiness conveyed that's for sure, just this intriguing rock n roll arrogant attitude that makes you stay and watch.

 

so Blur made my day at Oxegen, they even made my weekend. oh what the hell, they made all my summer festivals!

 

a brilliant come-back for Blur, and we all want more that's for sure.
