just noise

you like crystal castles?

well i'm sure you will like times new viking.

what's up with all these bands who are bad musicians -but obviously have some kind of hype and a really fashionable audience- and become new bands to follow?

seriously? when even their sound engineer told us yesterday: "just make them sound like shit and really loud but a warm sound", we thought "what the fuck?"

and of course they don't like flashing lights and wanted me to keep it simple, and fortunately- how can i try to follow a rhythm when it's just a massive huge noise?

and also seriously what's the story of bands doing gigs with only 35 minutes set? ok they don't have much material as they are a new band, well then they should play a smaller venue and make their fans pay less! even a local band will do a longer set than that! (i.e the support Giveamanakick played for 45 mn)

so these were the negative points, now for the positive

...

no, i've got nothing.

just because a band is adored by young fans with fashionable accessories and items of clothing, a trendy haircut, because this band is considered as alternative because the NME haven't talked about them yet, THIS DOESN'T MAKE THEM GOOD!

i agree - there does seem to be a new rash of bands who are big just because of their haircuts. i think that this electro-mess they hide in is pretty emperors new clothes - vice magazine probably likes it, though.
