i started this blog in December 2004, two months after I arrived in Cork. http://porlacarretera.hautetfort.com/archive/2004/12/16/b...

it was supposed to be an account of my travels through Ireland or any other countries. it became a (almost) daily account of my life in Ireland, the music I listen to, the gigs or cultural events I go to, stories about my new career, my doubts and hopes for the future.

It was in French, English and Spanish, then after a few months, i dropped the Spanish translation, maybe because it was becoming a bit too difficult and long for me, then recently i was only writing in English. maybe because it has finally become not the language i was still trying to learn or my second language but the language i was using to express myself everyday, it is now my first language and even though i am still making some mistakes while i'm writing or speaking, it has actually become natural and obvious to speak in English for me.

It is never too personal as i'm not the best at expressing my feelings. and i don't take this blog as a diary but more as a log of my discoveries.

The main aim of this blog as stated on the banner is to discover and share with you my readers. Throughout the years, months and days, loads of you have come back to read me quite regularly, and i thank you for that. for me you are a number given in my statistics, and i fortunately know a few of you thanx to the comments you leave regularly, for the rest of you (and majority) that are still anonymous and hiding behind statistics, feel free to leave a comment to say hello or who you are or what do you like about my blog or what you'd like to see/read on my blog or whatever you want to say.
