RDS-2nd day
Independent Music Seminar (tres interessant / very interesting)
Drum masterclass (je sais, j'y ai ete deux jours de suite mais ce prof est trop bon! / i know i've been to this workshop twice but this teacher is really good!)
Super jimenez (pas mal, a revoir / not too bad, i'll check them again)
Samba Percussion workshop (la chaleur de la musique bresilienne / heat brought by brazilian music)
Boss Volenti (wahoo, grosse claque et grande decouverte / great to see them, they rock!)
Air guitar workshop (just pour le fun de les revoir un peu)
The Immediate (talent, bons musiciens qui changent d'instruments tout au long du concert / talented, good musicians who change instruments for every song)
Director (toujours aussi professionnels mais un peu ennuyeux en fait! / still very professional but actually a bit boring!)
live stage: son nettement meilleur mais toujours le meme probleme de lumiere...

j'ai vu Julie Feeney, Philomena Lynott et Sinead O Connor...(oh des stars!!! ;-) et Sinead est enceinte d'au moins 7-8 mois!!!
live stage: lumieres mal dirigees qui aveuglent le public, et mauvais son (sauf pour Royseven qui ont leur propre inge son... et le chanteur au milieu du public couche par terre pour la derniere chanson...ah Paul aime le contact!!!)
live stage: lights blinding the audience, vox mic feeding back (except for Royseven who have their own sound engineer... and the singer in the middle of the crowd lying on the ground for the last song... aah Paul loves contact!!!)

c'est parti pour un bon petit week-end, expos, seminaires, ateliers sur les nouveautes musicales et concerts, sur deux jours au RDS.
au programme pour moi, air guitar, percu bresiliennes et batterie!!!

Back To Chaos- the summary
on a tout fait:
reserver salle, groupes (le plus dur...!)
design des posters, impression, promo et distribution
organiser balance et installer lumieres, scene, et son
le public etait la (80 environ)
les groupes etaient bons
rien de particulierement chiant ne s'est passe
merci a Cali pour le design des posters, a Nicolas pour l'impression, Al pour reserver la salle et acheter les bieres pour les groupes, Oran pour nous avoir aide pour le son, et Fergal, Larry et Dee pour nous avoir aide pour les lumieres
je voulais aussi NE PAS remercier Hidden From Nowhere pour ne pas etre venu pour les balances (oh ils nous ont prevenu la veille au soir qu'ils ne pourraient pas etre la avant 20h...), de s'etre plaint au micro qu'ils n'arrivaient pas a s'entendre (forcement, idiots, les balances c'est fait pour ca!), et pour avoir vole mes bouteilles d'Heineken! Fucking young bastards!
Ne plus jamais leur demander de jouer, jamais, jamais, jamais...
we did everything:
from the booking of a date in the venue and the booking of bands (probably the hardest part...!)
poster designing and printing and promotion and distribution
to schedule and setting up lights, stage and sound
the audience was here (around 80)
the bands were good
nothing particularly annoying happened
thanks to Cali for designing the posters, Nicolas for printing them, Al for booking the venue and buying the beers for the bands, Oran for helping us with the sound, and Fergal, Larry and Dee for helping us with the lights
i wanted also NOT to thank Hidden From Nowhere for not showing up for the sound checks (oh they told us the night before that they cannot make it and will be there at 8...), for complaining over the microphone that they could not hear themselves (idiots! what do you think sound checks are for!?), and for robbing my bottles of Heineken! Fucking young bastards!
never book them again, never ever again...

direction Tallaght pour une fete chez un inge lumiere
discussion entre potes toute la nuit
sieste entre 8h et 11h
petit-dejeuner
retour sur dublin en taxi
saturday night fever
i have to tell you a bit more about last saturday night
Laura's birthday party at Doyles (STC student)
then to Tallaght for a party at a lampy
chatting with friends the whole night
nap between 8am and 11am
breakfast
back to dublin by taxi

Club NME
Mon premier club NME a Dublin
(j'explique, NME, journal musical anglais, a desormais une section consacree a l'Irlande, et nous a donc fait l'honneur d'exporter leurs "soirees club NME" qui consiste a faire jouer des groupes en vogue a petit prix et dans des petites salles. a Dublin, ces soirees ont lieu a The Hub deux fois par mois)
avec Black Soul Strangers, Straglers, Fair Verona et The Flaws.
bonne ambiance, on retrouve les habitues des soirees rock dans le public, le petit monde de la musique rock a dublin, c'est bien cool.
impressionee par Fair Verona, 3 filles qui font du rock tendance punk!
cela me conforte dans l'idee que j'ai bien envie d'organiser au TBMC une soiree rock speciale filles...

good atmosphere, you can find all the usuals of rock gigs in dublin, the small world of rock music in dublin, it's great.
impressed by Fair Verona, 3 chicks who plays kinda punk rock!
it gives me an idea, to organise in the music centre, a rock night especially with girls in bands...
